Christkindlmarkt Vendor Application

This December, the Spiritual Center of Maria Stein will transform the Retreat Center into a traditional German Christmas Market – a Christkindlmarkt.   The committee aspires to make this a magical outdoor festival featuring twinkling lights and serving as a destination for artisan vendors and Christmas shoppers alike.  The two-day event on Friday, December 11, 4 pm–9 pm, and Saturday, December 12, noon–9 pm, will feature shopping, traditional German food and drinks, a visit from St. Nick, and a silent auction filled with many great items!  Saturday will conclude with Mass followed by a Christmas concert by Nashville artists Caleb + Kelsey!

If you are interested in being a vendor at our first Christkindlmarkt, please submit the attached application.

Please note that the application deadline is July 31, 2026, and space is limited.  The Christkindlmarkt committee encourages you to complete and return the attached vendor form as soon as possible.

Vendor Guidelines

VENDOR SELECTION / CRITERIA

Maria Stein Christkindlmarkt is looking for unique products, preferably with a German or European flair.  Products do not need to be handmade.  The committee reviews applications and selects vendors based on product uniqueness and market fit.

VENDOR DETAILS

Friday, December 11, 4 pm-9 pm; setup will begin at noon.

Saturday, December 12, Noon-9 pm.  Tear-down will begin at 9 pm, and vendors need to be packed and ready to leave by 11 pm.

Overnight accommodations are available for all vendors at $65/night for a private room.  Reservations can be made by contacting the Retreat Center staff at robin@spiritualcenter.net or 419-925-7625. 

Vendors are responsible for securing their merchandise and belongings overnight.

The event will be held as long as it does not snow or rain significantly.  A determination to cancel or reschedule the event due to weather will be made as soon as is practical.

ARRANGEMENTS / RESTRICTIONS

Vendors are responsible for providing their own tables, chairs, small propane heaters, outdoor-rated extension cords, and power strips for electrical access.

Vendors are responsible for decorating their booth in a festive manner.  LED outdoor lights are preferred as they can enhance your tent and use very little electricity.

Food vendors are responsible for any required food permits.

Vendor booths will not exceed the allocated space.

Vendors doing on-site cooking must meet requirements set by the local Health Dept. & Fire Marshal.

All vendors will be required to sign a Hold Harmless Agreement with the Maria Stein Christkindlmarkt.

Vendor agrees that if any of these guidelines are not followed, the Committee has the right to revoke said vending privileges, close said vendor’s stand, and have them removed from the site without refund.

VENDOR ITEMS DESIRED:

The committee desires items that capture the spirit of a traditional German-themed Christmas market.  Vendor selection will be made by the Maria Stein Christkindlmarkt committee and will be limited by the number of available booths and space.  Handcrafted items will receive special consideration.

BOOTH DETAILS:

Each vendor will have an 8’ display space, or you may bring an enclosed trailer/tent for your goods.  A limited number of German-style Christmas booths will be available.  Please ask for more details if you are interested. 

Two 110V outlets will be provided, suitable for string lights or small spot lights.  Use of a small propane heater is permitted and encouraged over electric heaters.

Food trucks will be assigned a space near the Vendor Huts and the music tent.

VENDOR FEES for 2026:

No Space reservation fee for Craft and Food vendors– it has been waived for the first year!

Just 10% of weekend gross profit income, less taxes, with a Maximum of $200.  To be paid by December 22, 2026.

DEADLINE: Completed vendor applications must be returned by July 31, 2026.  Spaces will be assigned at the discretion of the Maria Stein Christkindlmarkt.
